NOT YOUR GRANNY'S SQUARES! Intermediate Crocheting

Out with the old and in with the new! This course will elevate your idea of the crocheted block motif, commonly called "granny squares." We will try some fun variations with interesting shapes and unique modern style. In addition, we will explore creative ways they can be used to create handbags, toys, articles of clothing, and way more than just afghans! Several optional project options will be provided. Students in this course should already be comfortable with basic crochet techniques; if you are new to the craft, we recommend starting with Beginning Crochet. No materials provided; please bring some #4 (worsted) weight practice yarn and preferred hook size (H/5mm recommended) to first class.
